I personally love phim miềng Bắc, the Bắc people act more natural or tự nhiên than người Nam. Almost all Vietnamese movies that I've seen, it's the north people that act better, produce better quality movies than the Nam people.
Has anyone ever seen phim "Thằng Bờm"? It's freaking funny. LOL. I think it was made in the 1980s or something like that, but it was much much better than today's Viet movies. Ooo... and you guys should see kịch miềng Bắc, too. It's more funny than miềng Nam. Bắc people are funny. I am người Trung, ỏ phía Nam, nhưng thích người Bắc, nhạc Bắc, lể hội Bắc, and pretty much all about Bắc. Hehehe... |

Yeah, "Thang(` Bom+` " is an odd movie.I remembered the guy wanted to have sex with his wife but she kept on running and yelled "Don't wanna give birth..don't give birth (Khong de dau, khong de dau)" (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/embarassedlaugh.gif) 2 (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/embarassedlaugh.gif) 2 (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/embarassedlaugh.gif) 2 .So he chased her around the house ... Yeah...I think because these films from the north are more about vn history and vn human being and it consists more vn culture in it such like "Ao Lua Ha Dong" (most expensive film ever in vn) or "HAnoi 12 ngay" (or sth like that).
But southern film are also funny and good like "Nhung Co Gai Chan Dai"..I like it...but theyre more commercial. |

Southern films are more commercial whereas Northern films are more artistic. But as things always usually goes, the commercial ones are the ones that will make money and the artistic ones only winning film prizes.

QUOTE Dat Phuong Nam is the best!! This movie portrays the courage of Vietnamese children in times of turbulence, great film "Dat Phuong Nam" is one of the films that i really like. I think most Vietnamese like that film. It has all the ingredients of a good series: childhood memories, traumas, good music, etc. I also like "Cai Luong" from the South. I do not like "Tuong" as much. But "Cheo" and "Quan Ho" from the North are also good. I heard Hue imperial music already and i found it to be quite good too. Do you know the writer "Nguyen Nhat Anh"? He is from the South, write books for teenagers. I like all the series written by him. My friend and I used to buy every single one of his books. VERY GOOD. From my experience, the South often produces works that feel somehow close/related to people and everyday life. The North tends to produce artistic works. |
