Specifically about fish tacos, how come they're breaded? El Taco Nazo sells them breaded. >_<

^ One theory is Japanese fishermen doing business in Mexico Started it.

Years back, these guys noticed sharks were cheap but nobody in Mexico was eating them. Japan has tempura, tonkatsu, koroke and other fried foods. They battered the shark meat and sold it in a taco. It became a big hit that spread along the entire coast of Mexico. Now, the meat is not necessarily shark anymore.

I love the Mexican "Caldo de El Siete Mares" (7 seas soup). They got 7 types of seafood in this tomato/celery/carrot based soup (king crab, giant clam, shrimp, sea bass, scallops, squid, halibut). The broth is rich. Other than Chinese soups, I got to say the Mexicans have second place honor (herbs and flavor in texture).

I love their fajitas and parillas (grilled meats) too

i love everything at taco time.

it's americanized fast food, but i'd rather have it than super authentic mexican food.
