Yeah, it's getting close to the time to abandon ship. I seen the end of AF coming from a while back but I didn't think I'd be one of the last to stick it out on this site. lol.

A few chats like Chinese & Filipino chats might persist for a year or more but AF as an active community of Asian members is over.




My only regret was I never did succeed in revitalizing Jchat - my main reason for being on this site. Anyway, a few more weeks and there won't be a point to visit AF anymore.

But there are some exceptions. some bands such as Infinite or Rainbow have pretty many catchy songs from Sweetune. but they haven't succeeded that much. when considering these, i guess success more depends on character/charm of each member in the band.

I was a big fan of 'Lee Jin' from 'Fin.K.L.' back in the day.

And also i was a big fan of 'Yoo Jin' from 'S.E.S' that was rival girlband for 'Fin.K.L.' in that time.

Interesting thing is SNSD is successor to S.E.S (SM) and KARA is successor to Fin.K.L. (DSP)

Interesting thing is SNSD is successor to S.E.S (SM) and KARA is successor to Fin.K.L. (DSP)

SM has grown much bigger while DSP is still more like a mom and pop store. After SES's success, MILK, Shinvi and Isak N Jiyeon from SM all flopped. CSJH is a talented group but they went downhill quickly. Then we get SNSD and f(x). For DSP, it's FinKL - KARA - Rainbow.


SNSD will appear on "The Late Show with David Letterman" (Jan. 31) and "Live with Kelly" (Feb. 1). I guess it's all on Tiffany's shoulders if they have to talk with David. I hope they don't perform "The Boys".
