Since people were getting off topic in the other thread, I decided to make a tread dedicated to tibetan foods. I'll start by posting some of my favorites:

Here is some Thukpa (noodle soup):

This was the only picture i could find. I know it's not the best example.

Tsel momo, dumplings:


Eggplant curry


That's all the pics I can find. I'll post more info now, but at the moment I'm feeling hungry, so I'll go get something to eat.

Nice photos.

The Thukpa definitely looks Tibetan, although the bowl is not.
The momo may be Tibetan but the container is not.
The Tingmo is Tibetan although the eggplant/brinjal curry is Indian.

Anyway, I pay obeisance to the triple gem before consuming these delicious food.

Yeah, sorry the photos are pretty crappy, because good photos of Tibetan food are quite rare. Boepa, if you have any good pics from your home, please post them here. And I heard that curry is quite popular in Western Tibet.

At the monestary, also invoke and pay tribute to the Variocana Buddha, Rocana Buddha, Skayamuni Buddha, Amitaba, Maitreya Buddha, as well as Manjusri Bodhisattva, Samanthabhadra, Avalokitsevara, and Ksitigarbha before we dine. At lunch time, our prayer also includes an offering to Triple Gem eat.
