korean husband are still treat their wives bad????
many of they don't respect women. sometimes, i think their wives look like their servants. korean husbands give many pepople bad impression. i hope korean girls can have good husband. but first, they should be more independent than they used to be. what? That's not true (well depending on the guy), my dad treats my mom like god. Where are you getting this from. A lot of Korean guys I know are really sweet.
I don't think you should judge them as a whole, but yes there are bad husbands. But not all of them are like that. Between you know there are the "good" and the "bad" for every ethnic group, right? hope you're not trying to start something This post has been edited by ksurf3rgrl: Jan 17 2005, 09:40 AM |

I agree, i had seen a lot of abusive Korean men, and those girls can't speak up. poor girls
first of all, I don't watch Korean movies or Series. I seen all these abusive men from my Korean neighboard, my Korean best friends and so on.... I don't like a control freak husband . This post has been edited by Shanghaibabe@Toronto: Jan 17 2005, 09:59 AM |

no.. my parents met each other growing up in Korea.. until they moved to the states in their early 30's.. then I was born.
Just because you see it on "soap operas" doesn't mean it's true, they're "acting". In real life it's like that for some guys that went through bad situations in life. But no, Korean husbands aren't like that as a "whole".. not all of them are wifebeaters. But yes there are some that are like that. But remember it's not "just Koreans" like you're making it out to be This post has been edited by ksurf3rgrl: Jan 17 2005, 09:56 AM |

So if I notice my chinese+viet friends moms do all the cooking, cleaning, and what not I should suspect them of abuse? I mean they parallel my parents almost exactly. Dad goes work, comes home, mom makes dinner and they watch videos the rest of the night lol. I dunno how that's a servant seeing as how almost every family parallels this situation (except the videos maybe hehe). You know non asians do the same thing??? It's amazing how koreans are always the worst. Ignorance. hehe, my dad does dishes and vaccum and cooks (what he can...) lol. Mainly beef This post has been edited by Adwaregator: Jan 17 2005, 10:02 AM |

QUOTE (caoyatian @ Jan 17 2005, 10:42 AM) Do u seriously believe everything soap dramas showed u? As u said, that's SOAP DRAMA. In Korea, it's still a male dominated world but most men aren't beating their wives up or something. They may have affairs outside (very common) but they will still bring home the bacon and take care of their families. This post has been edited by Florenze: Jan 17 2005, 09:59 AM |

but still honey you don't go on believeing everything, unless your gullable. It's acting, it gives a kick to a soap opera.. making it more interesting (not really) for people to watch. Like the movies here in the states alot of violence involved, right? It's just acting. my dad does house work all the time.. he vaccums, washes the dishes, even cooks sometimes.. does ALOT of outdoor working like what husbands do. please stop here, you don't know.. so don't go on stressing yourself about it. omg.. for every drama there are aspects that are TRUE and NOT TRUE. But the whole stereotype about korean husbands treating their wives bad isn't true. There are SOME but not as a WHOLE.. ok? You get what I'm saying? about my dad doing the housework, yeah he does. But he's just one out of the many. I know his friends who do the same. Next time.. don't make threads like these, unless you get married to a korean guy and experience this. But because you haven't.. you don't know. So you should.. you know.. zip your mouth. It's still true to some extent. It's a culture thing that's lingered for a long time. There are changes, but it's still prevalent in Korea.
