I got 21 so far, but this 22nd one just won't go down. I hit her in the head with a television and she is still standing.

By the way this shanghai chick linked this thread in the chinese section and talking about it there.

They start stupid topics in other sections like this and talk about their chinese pride and how they're better than everyone else then wonder why "people hate the chinese WAH WAH" ( http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=27134 ) Idiots.

yeah you have a point. Husband raises money to feed the family and pay the house bills. While the mom does the house work. There's nothing abusive about that. It's about equal. Just the way of living & survivng.

What?... traditional culture my @ss. this way of living is like that for many families besides Koreans, although both my parents DO work, btw they're both equal, they discuss things over like in any relationship. Even my friend who's white her mom stays home, while her dad is at work (probably makes a hell alot of money, her mom must be happy lol). If you knew most Koreans you'd know they DO work, but it's their decision if they wanted to work or not (I don't think the husband would really care, but probably feel bad for his wife). If you went to Korea, you'll see alot of wives working. Especially here in the states because I see them everywhere when I go to Lotte or some Korean business. As far as what you're saying, you have NO clue about Koreans. Seriously. So I suggest you to just STOP right now, before you make yourself look even more stupid than you are.

Btw you have no idea who I am and you go on talking about my way of living. How the f.ck would you know? Please do not judge me. Like you do about every Korean. F.ck off

Caoyatian:

Why do you keep posting to this thread? Just give up already.

Some points:

1) I've noticed you switched from talking about domestic abuse to talking about "people who can't be independent".

Good choice, I would try to change the topic too, after learning women in China are abused at such extraordinarily HIGH rates.

That is, if they don't succumb to sex-selective abortion at birth (which I believe is practiced at the highest rate in the WORLD in China), and suicide (Chinese women commit suicide at the HIGHEST rate in the world, what does that tell you?).

2) Provide some statistical data to back up your assertions. Otherwise, you sound like a troll trying to overcome some inferiority complex by hysterically shouting over the internet.

3) Stop making generalizations. There are many types of people in every nation. Some (usually the older generations) are more traditional, while some (usually the younger generations) are much less so.

Speaking anectodally, (which is the only type of argument you seem capable of understanding), all of my female cousins in Korea have good careers. Many have travelled and studied abroad.

4) There is nothing wrong with a husband being a wage-earner and a wife being a homemaker, if BOTH choose that lifestyle. This is generally accepted in both Asian and Western societies.

5) Lastly, you say that "in china,we don't respect people who can't [be] independent". (Forgive my correction of your grammar.)

I would say that sentiment is true in all societies. If it is somehow more prevalent in Chinese society than Korea or Japan, I would consider that it is not due to a more "advanced" way of thinking, but to necessity.

Though Korean and Japanese societies are competitive, China is far worse. For many Chinese people, it's a daily battle to simply SURVIVE. Accordingly, ALL people MUST pull their own weight, or be thrown overboard.

Can't you see this caoyatian is just trying to piss you off? It's pointless arguing with him.

As far as I know there are abusive husbands in every culture, China is no exception. As long as there is gender inequalites it'll continue to exist.

i know there r more n more women work in korea,
some korean guys are also willing to do houswork now,
but many still refuse~~~ about 80% ,i forget where i saw it.
maye the figure is not ture.
and i think if women go to work, men also should do housework more than before.

i also know there are many housewives in western.
for example German.
as i know ,more n more Germany women work now~~
and more n more Germany men go to kitchen.

i said i know there are many housewives in western.
but,compare with korea law,
westerm laws about divorce are good for women.
i know this from some books about nation situation and so on.

maybe you can think that why there are so many articals or others
said that women are in disadvantageous in korea seriously.
maybe the writer of these articales are liars!!!!!!!!!!!!

of course this situation about korean is changing~~~~~

What are u talkin about? Do you know how easy it was to obtain a divorce in Korea? Most of these divorces are initiated by women too. Korea has one of the highest divorce rates in the world because of its easy to get one.

In one case the wife wanted to divorce her husband because she was sexually frustratred. They were married for two years, and never had intercourse with each other (the man's excuse was he "wasn't ready for it").

ok dude that was only for Los Angeles county in the US back in 1998 embarassedlaugh.gif

as i said in another thread ... it depends on the number of people of each nationality that there are in the country so a percentage would be more accurate than actual numbers ... and also as I said...this is for LA country....it's not a representation of any given nationality beerchug.gif
