That doesn't make sense. People in Manila are supposed to look more like East Timorese people than the people in Mindanao, even though Mindanao is a lot closer to East Timor than Manila is? You can look at the chart and see that it doesn't go with that opinion. People in West Mindanao have more Melanesian than people in West Luzon.

The distance does not matter...mindanao population is not from east timor...most of them are migrants from visayas

And yes the poor people of Manila do look more like east timorese..because they have higher australoid admixture then the 1/16th that mindanao has
on average the whole of luzon may have 1/32th...but within the poor in manila itself the percentage would be more like 1/3rd or 3/4th

So then the poor areas of Mindanao must have even higher Australoid admixture, dont you think? If Mindanao overall has more Australoid than Luzon, then there are probably urban areas in Mindanao that have higher rates of Australoid than Manila.

And yes, Mindanao was mostly settled by Visayans, but you have to go further back in history. People moved around a lot in the Malay Archipelago. Melanesians probably ended up in Mindanao, just like Filipinos might have ended up in East Timor. People didnt just stay within their countries, because there were no countries as we know it back then.

And people who are 3/4th Negrito or Melanesian would just be considered Negrito. And you dont see many Negritos at all in Manila. I dont think I've ever seen one. It's just like with African Americans. If you are even 1/4th black, then you're considered black by society, unless you can pass for white. It's probably the same with Negritos. Anything less than 1/4th probably just passes as a regular Filipino, anything more than 1/4th probably gets labeled as Negrito.

umm australoids were not a seafaring people...negritos or melanesians had no seaworthy craft

its austronesians who settled in australoid populated areas....not the other way around

mindnao has some negrito or melanesian mixed ethnic minorities (manobo, etc)..but visayan and luzon migrants make up the majority of the population
