As you can see, there were plenty of traitors that collaborated with the Japanese during WW2. Most of them were executed and rightfully so. This post has been edited by maikl10: Nov 16 2011, 11:57 PM |

Chinese collaborators are worse than the Japanese imperialists if you ask me. I don't think they are worse. I think they were not aware of the Japanese Army's atrocities. Maybe they thought that siding with the Japanese would allow them to live (probably did not realize the Japanese would enslave them had they won the war). A lot of these collaborators seemed to be warlords with no real loyalty to the Central Government. They were just trying to hold on to their power. Of course this does not excuse them and they were rightfully punished at least. |

The collective Chinese identity is kind of weak. Most of the times, you got idiots/retards/d!ckless cowards who will gladly step on a fellow chinese if it means they can get a slightly easier life, even though they still live under the oppression of another group of people. Maybe this is due to the selective pressure of the Qing's feudal system? There are just too many peasants with no education or higher ideals than just feeding themselves for the next meal.

You can blame the CCP for that.
