:deal: No ,actually it have been long recorded in the Guiness book of world record that Bangkok's name was the longest in the world .Asians like to beat world record like Tallest Building in the world is in Malaysia and China's Shanghai would built much taller The Shanghai Financial Center (i hope it will be finish)but if you want to post Asian world's record breaker you could post it here. For a vast continents and almost four billion population. Its not uncommon to see record breaker. Examples are world's largest and smallest Flowering plants could be seen in Asia. Sawasdee !!!!Maki ,Why not visit Thailand because it is just a few hours away from Singapore.

I have visited Thailand before but it was in my elementary stage......so, i know nuts about what i was doing there :heh:
I don't agree that Asians like to break world records. I mean, I think that europeans like to break world records more than asians. remember malaysia had the tallest building. and thus, a country from europe when to build something soon to break malaysia's record. kiasu right?? |

:deal: Well, hello to maki and Nazza Its not about world record that I want to impart to the surfers and posters here in this site .I just want to let other people(Both Asians and non-Asians)that little bit of information that Asians like me wanted to impart to them . Not many people know about, That was Official Thai name of Bangkok and that Guiness book of world record was not even in exsistence when it was given a name .Pure luck !that name was held on for centuries.Since this is an Asia Finest Forum might as well include this information to the surfers.

Bangkok Is known also as "City of Angels".But you could used the shorten Thai Word "Krung Thep" referring to the long official words that they use.
