I dont even know how I'd classify a manly man. I consider girly men as those afraid of physical labour, spend excessive time on their appearance, whinge when a task needs to be done instead of doing it straight away, and those afraid to live without the comforts of life (doing it rough).

Yes and I don't think being girly is a good thing either. Though I wouldn't describe the ability to handle physical labor and completing a task without whining as manly since women can learn to behave in that matter.

It is understandable why a person would be afraid to live without the comforts of life since living things are programmed to survive. Thus a person would obviously feel worried if he or she engages in a lifestyle that decreases the probability of remaining alive.

Comforts are just comforts, probability of surviving is the same without them because they aren't essential.
