Lao came from North-east of China eastern Coast. Not from Nan-Chao like you Thai people. We are Tai that wasn't a slave of the Yue people! But a free Tai who still has ancestor connection from our Chinese brother and sister from the past.

But, today we are Lao who are of Ai Lao and I-Shan people of today Yunnan southern Chinese. But where do these Siamese or Thai today fit into this category? Their is no trace of them in the oldest Peking history at all!!! I'm sorry, but Siamese or Thai today are just a hybrid of the Khmer/Mon like we said they are!
