first off, don't get me wrong. i'm not trying to steal anyone's culture or intending in any way to offend anyone with this thread. i also apologize if what i'm about to post is not khmer script.

so, i'm going to thailand on jan 27th and i'm planning on getting a tattoo there. and i know every tattoo should be personal and everything, specially with khmer yantra (spell?) that seems to be sacred in someway.

anyhow, i found this picture online, allegedly the same tattoo angelina jolie got on her back and i'd like to know, out of curiosity, its translation. i've been trying to read a lot about khmer script online but it's way too difficult and complicated (but i'm trying! hehe)

anyway, here's the pic:

i thank you all beforehand. ( :

cheers.

They should ban it. There sacred tattoos, like white magic....to protect, and they shouldn't have it on there bodies. It only wrks if ur a buddhist and if you believe in it.

What's your point of creating the thread? You just want people, esp in Khmers, to know that you're going to Thailand to get a tattoo written in Khmer? Do you want our opinion of it? Tell us.

We Khmer can read it... And it is a Pali way of reading.. and they got a little bit difference from the normal reading if any Khmer do not learn how to read the Dhama but anyways we still can read it but not perfect... It is the secret word of Buddhist and it is in Pali language. I should ask the monk in order to understand it!!

the rules you must follow to keep the yantra sacred are:

1) believe and protect Budhism

2)Never useobscene words with your parrent

3)never insult your parent or teacher while they teaching you

4) do not commit adultary

5) No addictional drugs or any related crime

Sorry... I'm Thai , so I have no idea where can you get them in other country...

what do you mean thief??? LOLz

The person who "Karaoke" the writing obviously not the one who wrote them...As you can see they're in Pali "language" with "BuddhaKhun" You ever see this exact 5 row yantras written exactly this way before Ajarn Nhoo ever published them???

KhmerBoi, I C...you're right, they're in Pali

Well...I'm not a real expert,neither...but the meaning and effection of each Yantra's line can't be translate literally though, coz it more of the chanting for Praising the Lord Buddha...but the effectiveness came from the "Bhuddhakhun"...like "Gatavetita" or "gratitude" give you the power of "charm" or being "attractive"...and so on...

I don't know wether this sentence is from who.. anyone can breakdown anything whenever they understand it well. I don't claim it Khmer neither Thai. what I am claiming here is I can read it.. and it is in Khmer Script that it!!
