Sure, I will. Why is Guan Gong ( Lord Guan?) always depicted as being so dark-skinned and red-faced? Was he ethnically Han Chinese?

Dont know about the dark skin but the red face is surely a sign of alcoholism. (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

Was he ethnically Han Chinese? bcuz when u get tanned ur skin tend to be more darker and reder.......lol........have u ever heard the word redneck?????? he was red because he drank alot ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- everyone is obsessing over Guan Yu. i don't understand the canto fascination with him anyway, that painting would be a much more accurate look to Guan Yu than the typical cantones made statue of him Guan Yu first and foremost was an Archer and would rarely be seen without his huge quiver of arrows. Also, he did most of his fighting on a horse. he was a cavalryman, not infantry This post has been edited by 神士Totenkopf: Apr 20 2005, 09:22 AM |
