because you live in the south, in your whole life you may end up meeting some people with similar facial feature to those people and they could be Thai residing in vn, that's why i say people in the south look really mixed.....

Idiot. Vietnamese in general can indeed pass for Thai, be it a Southern Viet or a Northern Viet embarassedlaugh.gif

I've been to Northern Vietnam, they don't look much more NEA than Southern Vietnamese.

Actually I don't think any of them look more NEA than other. And neither of them look more SEA than the other. Though they do look somewhat different, like Northerners have bigger faces.

In this one without so much makeup you can definitely see the traditional Kinh look.

Yeah thank you, that is why i said that she looks like Vietnamese.

She is born in Dongxing the other parts of Mong Cai, probably Vietnamese... she is taking Central University of Music. She is chosen by Zhang Yi Mou to play in the Athen's Olympic games, She has a title "the Jing's flower of Guangxi".

and this is a clear picture of her without make up, looks very Vietnamese and of course it please me...

@XigonCongchua:

Somehow my ears feel funny, well lets forget it...

i love little girl and much much olders girl who looks young... though i prefer little girls more.

She is my kin'... icon_redface.gif just like you, i also like you and would probably post your pictures if i have too.

btw,

Since when i deny that she isn't Vietnamese? i just doubt that she is really Kinh or not.

this girl could be more like Vietnamese if her skin is a little lighter (she probably got tanned from harsh life in the past.)

Majority of them can effortlessly pass for Vietnamese, what are you talking about? embarassedlaugh.gif

Maybe only the two girls in the 3rd pic and the two men on the left in the 4th pic, and the man in the 2nd to the last pic, and the man on the left in last pic would stand out in Vietnam.

Most aren't too far off. Saved for the man in the second to last pic, if the people from the other pics insisted to me that they were Vietnamese, I would give them the benefit of the doubt.

They aren't too typically Vietnamese, but they could pass as Vietnamese (from some certain regions. The man on the 3rd to last pic looks like a Chinese Thai to me; maybe that's because his look reminds me of Thaksin Shinawatra).

in the 3rd pic there is no one that looks like Vietnamese.

2 men in the left also don't looks like Vietnamese, but the 2 in the central of the picture are.

the men in 6&7 are Vietnamese in Thailand.

sorry they looks Thai and don't like Vietnamese to me. Do you really think that Vietnamese and Thai looks alike that one can pass being another? sorry i have to appose that because that is just wrong in every aspect. There is thai that looks like Vietnamese and maybe vice versa, but that is not what you called "majority".

chinese is no different than Korean, Vietnamese,... in the past because we all lived under the Westerner's colonialism even though chinese is richer believe me or not life under British's colonialism is much better under french's colonialism (french is poorer than British and trying to suck as much as colonist's blood as they can):

Vietnamese are mixed. We can look like any type of east asian, even pacific islanders.

All you need to do is look at videos.

The grouping into Northeast Asian only makes sense because of the similar cultures. That's about it.

There are a lot of Kinh Vietnamese that are/look mixed with cham. I've seen several
Vietnamese who can pass for Filipino.

They claim to be Thai and that's all I know, and it's all what ever important anyway.

Just some heads up, I won't need you post ugly pictures to show how Thai look like. You can bring your Thai bashing to another place.

Even this picture of Miss Thailand, which every Lao member makes fun of, can pass effortlessly for Vietnamese to me

I'm sorry. But I don't think you have any clear understanding about our prospective view about the Siamese here. Who said we called them ugly? Perhaps that's what you think about them. LOL!

This is how a Siamese looks like. They are a hybrid of the Khmer/Mon people and not Tai.

embarassedlaugh.gif

She doesn't understand that those "thai" are nothing more then Siamese(Mon-Khmer) who mixed with some Tai-Yuan (Lanna) people. Matter fact, most "Thai" there are the descendents of the Ai Lao people. Then the chinese came down and intermix wiht them. When she said some "thai" who looks like viet, shes actually talking about the chinese living in Thailand. beerchug.gif
