I doubt that you are a Kalmyk-Oirat because you did not understand a very basic Lunar New Year greetings in Mongolian. All Kalmyks, Buryats (both are Mongol-speaking peoples) and many Tuvinians understand this greeting even if the person does not speak Kalmyk or Buryat Mongolian. BWT, I have been to Buryatia and Tuva a number of times, and I have been to the Kalmyk capital - Elista (Elstei means Sand city) a few years ago when Kalmyk President Kirsan Ilymzhinov and Kalmyks are building a large Tibetan Buddhist Temple in Elista, the biggest Buddhist Temple in Europe. This temple was blessed by His Holiness, Nobel Prize Winner, 14th Dalai Lama!

Then, nowdays many people, in particular the Chinese, pretend to be somebody else on the Internet for all sorts of reasons. Therefore, I would not be surprised that if you were a Russian minority (but not Kalmyk or Buryat) or even Chinese!

This isn't limited to Confucianism or Han Chinese either. Those Altaics from Central Asia are not rebelling against Russian influence.
