Official Taegukgi site

You would be able to find trailer in the official movie site. The way is...
First:Enter the site
Second:Close all the annoying pop ups
Third:On the right bottom of the site, there is a menu called 예고편 보기(second whitle one from left)

This movie is about two brothers fell victom of Korean War(1950~1950, a war that devastated Korea Pen). Budget of this movie was about 13billion Won, roughly 10~11million US Dollar, which makes the most expensive movie ever made in ROK.

Well, what do you think?
I strongly hope it doesn't follow the disaster of the little match girl ;-)

Looks good!

I'm happy to see that the Korean movie industry is taking off like this. It's already replaced Hong Kong as the Asian cinema powerhouse. Mainland China movies are taking off but it'd still be a while before they catch up with South Korea.

The last good Korean movie I saw was Musa. It was a big-budget film as well. I really enjoyed it, especially since it dealt with historical relations between China and Korea during the Ming Dynasty. Also Zhang Ziyi was in the movie and I just love her (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/icon_smile.gif) She played a Chinese princess of the Ming government.

Ah kulong , (my opinion) Zhang Ziyi is not even good looking in with Chinese standards.

It's interesting that S.Korean soldiers were wearing US uniforms.

Wow looks awesome.. I've never seen any movie ever on the Korean War. I think there should be more movies like this. We have too many on WW2 and Vietnam. If this movie comes to Canada, I'll be sure to see it.

Well.. they were backed up by the Americans. This movie timeline looks like it was before China entered the war. Also in the 2nd last picture, the N. Korea captain's hat looks rather odd.

Kim Jong Il probably said "There is too much ROK pride (notice the picture with the 2 soldiers holding the ROK flag), they make our uniforms look silly (the two red stripes on the hat) and Won Bin's name spelled backwards is Nib Now.

Wow, it really has been that long since I posted the trailer! (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/embarassedlaugh.gif)

Along with "Taegukgi", I am also looking forward to "Silmido" (check out YManchun's thread) and "Old Boy" (both doing VERY well in theaters in Korea). I'm all goosebump-ily!

I'm dying to see this one myself. When I saw the trailer I thought the whole thing looked great except that cheesy music was ruining it.

Thankfully, I found out the music in the trailer isn't the original score. The original music can be checked out on the official website which moved me a great deal.

That's because the music in the soundtrack came from the movie "2009: Lost Memories". I thought the music was awesome in the trailer.

i finally saw the movie last night, exactly early in the morning.
this is the most tragic and sorrowful but greatest war film i've seen in my whole life! it shows the calamity of war very vividly and tragically. although i'm not really susceptible, it even made me cry out.
oh damn i wish i were better at english so that i can describe better, however, this movie is beyond description for sure!

Anybody have any inkling of when these movies will be coming out on DVD or VCD. I'm here in the US and have friends who'll buy for me.

Really want to see these movies but it's hard to justify a 13 hour plane trip.
