QUOTE Of course not; the US history textbooks are trying to hide all shame. Still, $hit like this happens. But can we blame the current generations for what their ancestors did? the Young generations are responsible for what their ancestors did. Just like Chinese now are responsible for what Mao and Communists did, same concept. Besides, I don't see how the young Japanese today are any different than the old imperialists. |

I wasnt going to post but this statement I did not agree with. The younger generations are not responsible for what has happened in a past era. I do not understand your resoning behind that statement perhaps you will explaine. One cannot be responsible for something that happened before their birth. |

QUOTE (gaijinkokujin @ Feb 11 2004, 05:44 PM) QUOTE (Cevilgenius @ Feb 11 2004, 05:37 PM) I don't think anymore... this was the Imperial Japanese from the 1940's... anyway this is all true... are you guys really that shocked at the truth? I am shocked at the heinous level of atrocities commited. Believe me, i dont particularly blink when someones "race" has been through a situation unless they are Native Indian or Black, but this i had no idea, and I am VERY shaken up by it. the pictures from one of the links tongbao posted on his site has close large photos of things i never knew a human (in this day and age) should ever THINK. what about the jews? |

What China did to Tibet cannot be compared to the 35 million China killed in WW2. Also China will answer for the atrocities in Tibet. Just because the Chinese government does a wrong deed, doesn't mean that the victims of the Nanjing Massacres don't deserve compensatiton or recognition for thier sufferings. Each crime against humanity should be explained. But Japan, as a democratic nation should take the initiative of promoting freedom of information. |

What's disturbing... the treatment itself or the denial of the treatment by the Japanese government? I think the denial is worse than the idea of the treatment. Will they ever compensate?

If you did that, then you would be no better than the Japanese soldiers who brutually murdered Chinese civilians in similar ways. |

No..huaren I dont forgive you for your rude words because you are not truly sorry. Simply because this is not the first time that you have wished for violence against japanese and I am sure it will not be the last time. This post has been edited by Ogumo: Mar 2 2004, 11:07 AM |
