you know some other asian races think they know us so well, they can criticize us and say this n that. they know nothing, they think they do, THEY KNOW NOTHING. us hmoobs don't be going around saying this n that to them, we keep it cool and real. some people are real nice and cool, and some are just so ignorant and stupid. but you know...we just gotta stick together and be good to others even if they don't do the same back....iono....but lots of other asians are cool but just a few tend to be so mean. if they don't understand us, i hope they'll make more friends with our people and get to know how we ROLL, hahaha JK...understand us, cause we're all only humans...maybe it's ignorance and maybe it's something else but oh well, i'll just tell myself IT'S HOW THE WORLD IS LIKE...if you think about it, we're not alone. hahaha...like few Japanese and chinese don't get along , etc etc...but then we're just gonna have to stay strong and real-and don't get upset immediately if someone says something disrespectful or rude...just keep your cool and be mature about it cause fire can't fight fire...water can. and the dark cannot outshine the darkness, only the light can so...just be polite about those things and correct their misunderstandings cause sometimes people just misunderstand and twist it around, but that's why we gotta step in and correct it, IN A GOOD WAY.

Oh but YEAH, Other Asians hate because they think they are higher, meaning, they have a Home country, language, arts, rich culture and history. We don't have alot compared to more developed Asian groups, but we're holding on and we still have our pride.

well, i haven't heard any lao or khmer in american goverment.
we have hmong in city council, we have lawyers, activists, doctors ...etc

all my life, growing up, i met many hmong teachers.
i only met one lao teacher and etc...

you also have many other southeast asian groups like the mien, lahu, karen, phnong, kachin...etc
i don't hear anything from them.

we hmong come a long way. we have been insulted by many asian groups who see us as INFERIOR.
many asian groups dislike us because they have that retarted mind that they're better than a group of nationless people.

^ Um, go to Lowell, Mass. There is a few cambodians in the city council. Cambodians has ''CambodianTown'' in Long Beach (which is official by the way), and the only asian ever to win an oscar was Cambodian. Not even Bruce Lee achieved that. You sound like those backwood rednecks who thinks America belongs just to them. America was created by immigrants and it's continuing to be shaped by immigrants. America is a melting pot and everyone brings over a piece of their culture. That's what makes this the best country in the world.

As for Hmongs being inferior to other Asian-Americans. I don't care what you are, Hmong, Cambodian, Vietnamese, Korean, in the eyes of most Americans, you're Chinese or Japanese. I didn't grow up around Hmongs most of my life, but from what I saw when I was around Hmongs, most Hmongs often keep to themselves, hence most people don't have the chance to get to know Hmongs.

I agree with some of the posters for this response. Did you even research it at all?. Just because you've never heard of them doesn't mean they don't exist. There are PLENTY of south-east asians outside of hmongs who are in those profession.

There must be something in you why other asians are doing that or it could be just your imagination. Just like the others here, I've never heard or know what a Hmong is until AF.
