QUOTE(DutchEastIndiesMan @ May 9 2008, 02:03 AM) @ Awang So what is they guy is western educated ??? or pro American ??? pro Israeli ?? Doesn't mean you can accuse him or all sort of things...Spy, Israeli spy...(WTH) .Be more like Esfan lah..more moderate. I'm sick of all these anti western, anti Americans view, just because they did something wrong....and Get over with your self. Yeah, I bet. You just love the pro-American views. That's too bad. We live in a real world. Where guys other other than Americans n pro-Americans exist too. I like your "just because they did something wrong ...". That's really cute. The Japanese love them too. For nuking Hiroshima n Nagasaki, killing 30,000 civilians in one night, n 300,000 over the following several months. The Germans love them too, for bombing the daylights out of Berlin. Russians love them too, for stealing half of Europe when it was the Russians who had borne the brunt, labouring against n battlling the Germans, before finally sapping the Germans' strength. The Vietnamese love them too, for killing 4 million Viets in trying to roll back the 'communist advance'. Now the familiues of 100,000 dead Afghans n 600,000 dead Iraqis love them too. |

Servicing jets with China's aid
(IMG:http://img361.imageshack.us/img361/9136/saidnstfn8.jpg) KUALA LUMPUR: China could help Malaysia with technical matters concerning the Sukhoi Su-27 aircraft, the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) chief General Tan Sri Azizan Ariffin said yesterday. He said the two countries were willing to co-operate on the matter. "It is good for us to explore what they can offer us. It can be a reference point if we face problems with our aircraft in the future," he said. "This is especially so from a weapons, maintenance and support services perspective," said Azizan, who visited China recently to meet his counterpart and the Chinese defence minister. He said while China did not operate the MiG-29, the Sukhoi Su-27 and Su-30 were deployed in the republic. "If we face problems with our jets, then we can refer to them (other than Russia)," he said. Azizan said his visit to China was a success, adding that the country was eager to co-operate with Malaysia. Meanwhile, Azizan said a number of activities had been lined up for the RMAF's golden jubilee on June 1. He said the RMAF will be holding an open day at the Subang Royal Malaysian Air Force base on that day. "We will display many of the assets that we have there and the public can have a look at them. An airshow will also be held," he said. Among the aircraft that will perform on that day include the Sukhoi and the F/A-18D Hornets. - NST - |

QUOTE OMgosh it was just FUNNY....THATS ALL !!!! Your resentful attitude towards us can be manifest in the above post... I'm not really that resentful, just find it bothersome that someone laugh at the idea of naming a UAV on a tiny yet deadly insect. Why isn't anyone find the standard naming of F-18 Hornet as funny than naming a UAV as Nyamuk aka Mosquito? Besides, that's a MY-designed UAV, for Pete's sake. The more reason to be gung ho on my part. |

Malaysian LPD procurement faces delays
Malaysia may postpone its Multipurpose Support Ship (MSS) requirement due to financial constraints, Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Dato Seri Najib Tun Razak told a news conference on 21 April. The MSS programme was to cover the purchase of up to three landing platform docks (LPDs) under the Ninth Malaysia Plan (2006-10), but this may instead be deferred until the Tenth Malaysia Plan (2011-15). Dato Seri Najib said that the government would make a decision on the deferral after the completion of a mid-term review of the current plan in July. "The programme will depend on the finances available to the government and we may not have the funds available because of the rise in fuel prices and the need to ensure food security," he said. On the proposal for two Jebat-class frigates to be built jointly by BAE Systems and Malaysia's Labuan Shipyards and Engineering (LSE), Dato Seri Najib said that discussions were still underway and that the Malaysian government was concerned about the final cost of the ships. He said that the government was ascertaining the exact benefits of building the ships domestically, adding that the ships might eventually be partially built in the UK, with final construction and integration being carried out in Malaysia. - Dzirhan Mahadzir JDW Correspondent - Kuala Lumpur |
