Be careful you don't end up with a north indian pajama type outfit either.

The problem is alot of online folks greatly inflate cost. Getting a sari in India would be so much cheaper.

(IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/icon_confused.gif) u are right. but if u have any friend in india, u can ask him/her to send a set to you, it would work out a lot cheaper then online shopping. (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

Hi,

Try this place:

http://www.pardesifashions.com

They sell sarees (saris) from very expensive formal types to less costly ones. They also can make the blouse and petticoat to fit you no matter what your size. (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/icon_wink.gif)

The best way to buy a sari or get a sari is from an Indian friends. The prices online are heavily heavily inflated. Also, make sure u buy a sari of current trend, so that u may not be the oddball if you do go to some indian parties (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/cool30.gif)

I understand what people are saying about online stores being more expensive but at the same time you can actually see what you are getting instead of relying on someone else's taste in clothing. I still find that http://www.pardesifashions.com/ is the best place to order from online because their prices are much more reasonable than most, they have a return policy and they can hook you up with a custom made blouse and petticoat in any size. Hope that helps!
