There are many, but if you spend two weeks memorizing the kana (hiragana/katakana), you'll notice that it's not so hard as it seems. I started with hiragana and memorized 5 each day, sometimes more. There are 46 of each, so that will take you around 18 days. Then you have the kanji. Start small and memorize just a couple a day. They are more complex, so it will take a bit longer to learn how to draw them. Two great resources are The Kanji Site and The Japanese Page. Pimsleur and Rosetta Stone courses are also good to have. They're a good way to learn common phrases and proper pronounciation. They are also designed to help you progress fast, so your motivation will stay high. |

It's cheap course and they have so interesting materials" mp3, games, flash, grammar, texts... anything you want
