Actually come to think of it alot of girls arnt hesitant in asking those kinds of questions now,
makes you better friends though cause thats always the barrier between guys and girls I think, if you can talk about those issues you can talk about anything.
*

Why do we girls and boys have to be ashamed talking about sex anyway? I join ‘The One Campaign’ against AIDS and they also ask the same questions such as: Do you have safe sex? Do you use condom? Do you know how to use it? (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
*

I dont think they need to be (just not out in a public forum obviously) but its just in the past this kind of talk was taboo amongst indo's, but i guess with all the new found freedom and activities we see going on, its no longer a taboo subject to talk openly about amongst guys and girls (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/embarassedlaugh.gif)

BTW how did the FPI react to this Campaign mbak (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/embarassedlaugh.gif)

I agree with wong Majapahit. However, though, who can determine and set up the limit of sexual behaviour as an act of crime?

The other thing I'm really curious at, is, that pretty often I've been confronted by Indonesians with European/Western partners that people in Indonesia just are very backward-looking and our traditional social values are just against the spirit of freedom and self-esteem!!

Any opinion??

@majapahitans: So should we let our natural sexual-creature attributes guide us or the moral codes/values, religion, culture etc guide us?
*

Ahah.hah.hah.... hard question....
been there done that. (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/icon_redface.gif)

When we are sober, aware of what we're (about to) do, it's wise to consider the consequences of what we about to do (sex I mean.... (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/embarassedlaugh.gif) ).

Our society has lots assorted rules of sexual conduct. You name it.....
From religion, law, culture.
For example, sex only for married couple, you musn't do it with juvenile (ewww... (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/Talktohand.gif) ). You musn't do it on public, you musn't force people to have it with you, homosexual issue, sadism and masochism, ect.

And I agree with Furan that this set of rules of sexual conduct DO separate us humans, from animals.

But I believe humans are sexual creature. A natural treats that can be called as our 'animal instinc' side. And I don't want to be a hypocrit, sometimes our natural animal instinct can be so overwhelmingly strong and blind our reasons, moral, religion beliefs, and even law. We can easily fall in to it, and SNAP..... it getting wild. (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/icon_twisted.gif) (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/icon_redface.gif)

Just please consider the consequences, and be save boys and girls..... (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/icon_redface.gif) (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

So there we have it. We must follow what religion, tradition, beliefs etc dictate, but it's also human to snap out of it and follow our animal-instincts. But when we do this we have to be punished!! (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/icon_twisted.gif)

What do you guys think about the fact that these schoolgirls also prostitutes themselves to Jakarta or even foreign "customers".

Since they should be about 16-18 years old, and hence can be considered borderline adults, can prostitution ever be justified as means to look for extra income?

^ No.

Putting religion aside it makes me feel sad to see young girls who really still dont know whats what, making money in this way whether they are forced or on their own accord. They will never lead a normal life afterwards, im sure if they tried otherways to make money even though initially not as easy they would feel much better about themselves if they get through the difficult times.

Whose seen virgin ? At the end of the day who was the one better of ? Even though people may recover over time i can pretty much bet its something they will never forget.

If it's any consolation if you can call it that, such things also happen in Malaysia. Young kids nowadays are more prone to express their sexuality with each other, irrespective of their religious and economic backgrounds.

I'm thinking that the best thing we can do as parents is to just be open with them, talk about the consequences and advice to always always be safe. It is dunia akhir zaman.

Almost totally agree with Mr. Malaccan.. I've got a 6-month baby-girl - just thinking what to tell her in 16 years from now.. (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Awww.. congratulations Bohemian!! I love it when people have babies. Dunno when it's gonna be my turn.

Lemme guess which part that you don't agree on.. you'd advocate no sex before marriage right. So would I, so would I. But having seen what I've seen and knowing what I know now, I really do worry about the next generation and just how celibate they can be. Maybe when I'm a dad myself I'll have much stronger convictions. (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
