Singapore has done a good job in preventing illegal immigrants but SG is a smal country. Its hard to stop the inflow especially in Sabah and Sarawak

The other problem that I feel its something wrong is whenever these illegal immigrant marries another muslim local gal. His kids automatically become a Malaysian citizen.....and with certain connection...sooner or later, he will be granted as a Malaysian BUMIPUTRA,,,,....that is really sad

Its all a matter of will. Malaysia for whatever reason does not have the will to prevent illegal immigrants.
One reason is probably because it gets cheap labour, who have no rights that it can export anytime it wants to. To me this is abusing the illegal immigrants.

And if we wanted to be really "conspiracy theory" we could also give a reason as being what you have said above, because more bumiputera, doesn't matter from where, strengthens the govnts position.

I dun think it's necessary for the gahmen to import Bumis to strengthen their position.They've been winning the GE for 46 years and even if the opposition wins 50% of parliament,BN can still rule.

Anyway,the number of illegal immigrants has actually dropped annually,it's just rooting out the illegal immigrants that has rooted in Malaysia for years. Government should announce more amnesty to let them go home.

No offence to the indonesian, most of the crime by foreigners in Malaysia are mostly carried out by Indonesians and they are always armed with some weapon and do not hesitate to harm their victims and are not worry to be caught. Many of them, after committed crimes, just went back to Indonesia via the sea, regardless of whether they have proper travel documents or not. It's so easy for them to escape from Malaysia and all this is due to bribery to the relevant authorities.

There are many illegals especially Indonesian staying at small places like kampung and the authorities are fully aware of this but nothing seem to be done. These illegals are able to go with their life as usual and in many places, they are taking over from the local mainly the Malays in doing business. These are the people who commit crimes and depriving the locals in businesses but yet no action is taken against them.
