She's half Lao, half English, she also happens to be my cousin. Shs related to me on my Dad's side. Her mom (my aunt) came to visit us in Dallas last thanksgiving.

Yeah, her mom is Lao, my family (including her mom), immigrated to Thailand after 1975. Her maiden name in Nokeo. Most of the family is settled in Dallas but Chompoo and her mom decidde to stay. My uncle and aunt just came back from visiting them 2 weeks back so they got some pics. Ima go up to dallas in a couple of weeks and I'm gonna get some pictures.

Chompoo was born in thailand, so shes a Thai national. My family originated in Thai Issan but my grandfather got in trouble with the law in the 60's so we immigrated to Laos. After 1975 we came back. Chompoo's mom and my dad were born in Thailand, but all my other uncles and aunts were born in Laos. Her mom speaks lao, I'm not sure about Chompoo though. I usually refer to my family as Lao rather than Thai because my grandfather favors Laos over Thailand.
