What are Filipinos/Filipino Americans views on the Japanese and Japanese Americans?

We don't think much of you. But I don't like the way filipina women are taken advantage of in Japan, and left with father-less children.

LOL heck even a new actress in the Philippines, has a dead-beat Japanese dad who left her and her mother for Japan.

i'm 100% ethnic chinese, but my parents were both born in the philippines. i understand tagalog but not my mother tongue, which would be hokkien chinese.

When i lived in Philippines when i was in elementary, the teachers taught us to hate the Japanese and the Spanish for colonizing us. Strangely, they taught us to love the Americans who also colonized us

tru they did da same thing to me when i was juz a youngstaa!!! they taught me to hate both spanish and japanese!! da reason why they taught us to like the americans becuz they are actually the ones that helped organize the country. they helped the filipino government rebuild. they organized our education system by bringing the thomasites to teach the filipinos. they supported the military, and etc. they did commit some atrocities, but not as much as the spanish and the japanese. they were actually nicer to the filipinos after the spanish filipino war. they liberated us from the hated japanese and spanish. without their help then we would have ended as slaves for the japanese empire.

but at the same time i luv japanese ppl too!!! they are not the same ppl from ww2

i'm filipino american and i like the japanese ppl!! i think we should blame governments for their hostility towards other ppls and not the ppl of a country themselves. besides...the past is the past and we shouldn't dwell in the past with hatred towards others. we can only move forward and try to forgive and understand each other.

I don't hold a grudge against the modern Japanese for what happened during WW2, and I don't form my opinion of the whole people based on how some treat Filipino workers abroad.
I like Japanese people - I admire their creativity and how Japan as a country has been able to forge ahead and become a major international force.
I also like Japanese street style, so...

No hate here. But what I dont understand is why so many filipinos try to act spanish and what not and there the ones who invaded thet Phillippiines and all that. But I hold no grudges. If anything Phillippines should look up to Japan and built there nation like that. Hard work pride and determination.

they should start teaching how brutal the Americans are, especially during the Filipino-American war
