I recently saw The Great Raid and I was angered by what the Japanese did back then. I went online to research some more and I saw pictures of random killings by Japanese soldiers. One pic that stood out was a young mother and her 3 year old daughter lying dead together on the street with blood all over their abdomens. I'm still haunted by it.
I still have reservations toward the Japanese people and government. But I'm fine with Japanese-Americans, though. About the Americans, I read it somewhere that they killed off most of the Spanish-speaking population. I have to research that some more. But yeah, war sucks. |

There are still a lot more more haunting than this... I recently watched a documentary about this WW2 killings. One Japanese cut off the arm of a Filipina victim but her friends tried to connect the part again. And whoa, they were successful... but it now looks like a big muscle on her arm. |

These things do not make me feel sorry or saddened that the US bombed Nagasaki and Hiroshima... ya know what they say, "Payback is a b!tch!!!" |

Yeah, i also watched about it. The Japanese will throw up a baby in the air and 'catch' them with bayonets... agreed I kinda wonder how the descendents of the Japanese who immigrated to the Philippines in the 17th century were treated by the Japanese soldiers. There was a sizable number of them. Never mind. They were probably treated the same because they were Catholics... But what is sad to me is over 10,000 Japanese mestizos or Japanese Filipinos were killed or murdered after WW2 by, I would assume, other Filipinos for retaliation. That is wrong to me because The Japanese Mestizos are Filipinos and we were killing our own. |

as a filipino's point of views. Japanese is good for anime and maybe jpop and their culture is nice too. But I ain't the kind that's addicted to it. I don't wanna spend my time listening to a song that I can't understand and will never understand. Unless I learn the language but like I have time which I don't. So, I guess they are good with their anime. I personaly think that japan is the cleanest place.

I don't know any Japanese and have never been to Japan. I do enjoy listening to j-pop, watching their drama series and reading manga. I understand the older generation keeping their grudges, but to me it's all history and will not base my opinion on that in the future when I do get to Japan or meet someone from there or anybody from anywhere for that matter.

I'm indifferent towards them. It's possible to forgive their past atrocities if they ever declare an authentic and sincere apology, but it's not easy to forget. My great grandma almost DIED during the war because of the Japanese soldiers. Ironically, a Japanese lady helped her and took her into her (the Japanese lady) home where she would be safe from the assault.
But hey, I have to appreciate their technology. I revere them for that. Otherwise, I just don't care enough about them. |
