I feel so much better and dreamy after I watch any of his movies. I just watched Hauru no ugoku shiro... I love it.. might as well check out the book too.

I really liked Laputa and Princess Mononoke but all of his works are equally just amazing.

Yes, his movies end in a positive uplifting note. His animators' use of heavy colors adds to that also.

I love his movies too. Even though there's a lot of fantasy in some of his movies, it seems so real. I haven't seen all of them yet but I'm gonna try (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/rockon.gif)

If I was a younger kid and liked cartoons more i'd like his other works too...haven't seen alot of them tho....I've only seen Grave of the fireflies, something of the Valley of the wind, Spirited Away (some). |

I just saw "Howls moving castle" yesterday, I really liked it especially calcifer.
Did mayazaki also do "laputa"? because that one was pretty neat. |

Nausicaa. The US release cut out like 20 minutes of the movie. Wow and I thought that one dragged! (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/embarassedlaugh.gif) The music sure was funky.... (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/embarassedlaugh.gif) 2 |

Whats the name of that movie with the forest spirit, boars, wolves, wolf girl and guns? The main character rides a deer.

i've watched every single movie he made
well, almost. say 95% of all his movies. they are all amazing, some are action packed, some are soooo heartwarming. he's a great director of anime movies. i wish he did more action ones, but then the cute ones are pretty darn good too. my favourite one = Totoro! (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) and Tanuki<---lil too long though btw though, Miyazaki got a flying/sky fetish. they are featured in all his movies. also he tend to make the battles bloody which is good (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) This post has been edited by WarEngineer: Apr 1 2006, 07:00 PM |
