sorry. but i dont see that China is a biggest strategic partner of USA.
it is more Canada, britanian comenthwool(?) and Europe as China.

in the next short time China do more loose many points in USA and their economic.
(China cann't and dont want to make industrial transfers into other countries, therefore you can see in China now a biggest "production-costs-inflation".

Japan as investmen and ASEAN countries as a production around China are now a "big winner" in Soth-East Asia.

I doubt China is able to win even with the slightest margin if any war with the USA should occur.

Even Sun Tzu said "In war, it is not about the quantity of soldiers but rather the tactics and strategies".

I am a Chinese and I am trying to be realistic, China is not ready for any war in this decade.

Basically, the US has more experience in warfare and not to mention their technology is up-to-date than any other country.

China on the other hand has poor logistic and bad supply-line management. Just look at the Korean war, China lost more than 500,000 (approximately) which Mao's son was one of the KIA. Most of them KIA was due to hunger and sickness instead of war attrition.

China might be able to defend its country well* coz Chinese are generally patriots but to launch an all out offensive, that's suicide.

In a normal conventional war, China has no chance whatsoever. The US navy and airforce is way too strong right now.

No, China does not have 6000 nukes. Every source I check has China with having 400-800 nukes.

but the point is with such a huge army, america still dont' dare to touch the chinese. Also, with such a huge army and they could still let 911 happen which just proves a huge army with advanced technology doesn't mean much. All countries in the world have armies that are less powerful than U.S. but no 911 happen to others but only U.S.

U.S. don't dare to touch china since U.S. need China and of course China just can't beat U.S. with their current technology but then the point is U.S. just won't do anything directly to confront China. Even if they do, U.S. will probably win eventually but with the number of people in China and such a huge land , china is not easy to confront and remember how the U.S. fight in Iraq.

The US won vs the Iraq army very very easily.
The problem is the US is having right now is with guerillas and terrorists which are causing the most deaths.

A US- Chinese war would be a normal conventional war.

North Korea attack China? Thats suicide since China pretty much owns N. Korea. How is China going to be destroyed, I can't think of any neighbors of China that can defeat it. Mongolia? Vietnam? Kazakstan? Russia?
