^ I was surprised myself, but anyway, it's for the sake of AF, but still the admin still have to decide whether to allow the download section to continue with strict rules & changes or to permanently remove the download section (which of course will be sad, to be honest, lol)

Some download forums make it so only users with a certain number of posts can access the download section. You could make it 100 posts or something.

Still that won't help fighting AF being refered as the board that link to copyrighted materials. As I said, AF should post strick rules against Live Links which means that every now and then when a user have to post a link, the user has to use the CODE tags, the hash key on the editor. |

Just logged in and thought: "Whoa! There's no dl, or request, or even dl help sections." Then I read 'bout it in this thread.
I say coding and post count for access to downloads are really good ideas. Other forums I have visited, have implemented one or both of these ideas, and they haven't decreased any in member postings.
