you might not need to buy a car but everything else there is much more expensive. Sorry to go off topic but I think manga there is less expensive than in the states am I right? I alway see prices of manga volumes here usually from $9-11 whereas my brother bought a Inuyasha volume from Japan and I looked at the front cover where it said around 550 yen, about $5. The paper was slightly lower quality but I wish Americans would use that paper too to cut costs and help the environent. But yeah, many things in Japan are insanely expensive, how can they afford it? Are their salaries proportional to the prices of goods as well? I think on average, they only make a little bit more than Americans yet their goos are at least 50% more expensive than American counterparts. I can see Japanese and other foriengers complain about the prices of goods there but how do native Japanese feel? Maybe their okay with the prices since they've never seen how cheap some items are in other countries. This post has been edited by rahul1000: Apr 9 2006, 01:51 PM |

Going to the cinema costs like £10 (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/thumbsdown.gif) As for manga its obviously going to cost less in Japan due to the fact it doesnt have to be translated. Wow, that cinema price sucks @$$. (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/icon_confused.gif) I remember reading an article where shortly before the 2003 Iraq War, gas prices in Baghdad was $0.10 a gallon! (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/eek.gif) Still, few people could afford it anyways. How would the quality of life in Japan be generally compared to the U.S? Pretty close I guess?? By that, I mean for the average middle class family in both countries. This post has been edited by rahul1000: Apr 9 2006, 02:21 PM |

everyone should eat that poisonous fish dish and die then it will be less crowded What fish, they might all be eaten before the poison can be added. NO! That isn't the answer. Whatever the answer is it must not be war. War is a solution of humanity's past. Old attitudes about religion, social structure and war must be discarded when weapons of mass destruction are considered. Humanity has been struggling with this predicament for over 60 years. I believe that there is only one real solution. With modern communications it is increasingly possible. In simple terms, we must all become like friends and family. I grew up in a small town where people did not lock there doors. Almost everyone knew everyone else. This can happen for the world, if we can agree on basic ideas, hopes, and desires common to us all. To understand what I am talking about you should go to my personal website, which is at the end of my siganture. Be sure to listen to the mp3's also. |
