Actually edonkey and torrents are probably among your best bets in finding Japanese songs. But if anyone knows a site that you can get direct downloads from.....I would like to hear it.

don't be fooled by these cute banners, there are loads of things from rockartists and other 'genuine' artists on this site.

Like Zezei said, JPopSuki is great! They have torrents of everything from full albums to individual MP3s to PVs and TV performances. I didn't see anywhere that she provided a link (though I might just be blind), so here it is:
