why are we supposed to apologize and feel sorry for the other asians when they teach their children to hate us and consider us bad country of asia? i am glad koizumi is visiting yasukuni and not giving in to other countries.

they've denied the Nanking Massacre til 2001 or 2005
they don't have full descriptions of the massacred and other atrocities

oh, and they refuse to take out the Class A war criminals out of Yasukuni...after they secretly put them in in the 1970's


if Japan remilitarizes, i wouldn't be surprised if China ( and maybe the two Koreas) attack Japan before they have a chance to militarize

the message is quite clear. with american backing japan is unwilling to bow down to asian powers.
it is quite clear to the japanese that they could well have conquered asia- therefore they are unwilling to submit to allegations of war crimes.

this is really a shame.

i can't wait for korea to be united. this would kick the americans off the region for good, and japan will be quieter on such issues.

On normalization of diplomatic relations, Korea made an agreement with Japan that it will no longer demand compensations - on government and personal levels - to Japan. The compensation from Japan that followed it funded the creation of the backbone of Korean economy.

Japan itself doesnt refuse, those in control of the shrine refuse and as thats not the government its hardly accurate to say Japan refuses to remove the names.
