Not really, like i never see any Laotian before. My sister studied at a university in hanoi and sometimes i picked her up after school. There were some Lao friends of her as well. While some looks kinda similar to Vietnamese but you can still see the difference. However, i do agree that among SEAsians, Laotian looks closer to Vietnamese than the rest. I love Lao as a country.

If you think the students which i posted dont look like Viet and "still see the difference", I think you must not know what Viet looks like??? Coz if i passed them on street, I would think they are nothing else but Vietnamese.

I saw Laotian too. My parent lived in Lao for a while when they were young. I think on average Vietnamese is a bit lighter. I really dont want to cause trouble here, but i think Vietnamese is a mix of Laotians (Tai) and Chinese.

He is probably Laotian. What's up with his clothes in the first photo? Trying to be black?.
