oun sor-lang bong
i love you

oh this one is more easier to say it....

sor-lang = love??
so there is no you and me in cambodian?
or is it just oun mean girl
and bong mean boy?

this is really interesting...

It depends on the way those two words are used.

Oun is used to refer to a younger sibling or person. Bong is used in the opposite way.

When used between two intimate people, Oun refers to the woman and bong refers to the man.

There is "you" and "me" in Cambodian, of course, but to use it in such a phrase is very unintimate.

"K˝om srala˝ nek" is literally saying "I love you" or "me love you" hehe.

It's not "sor-lang," if you want to say it properly, it's pronounced "sraw-laign."

So a woman would say "Oun srala˝ bong." If you're a guy just switch it around.

Ok, I'll shut up now. icon_smile.gif

ITS "SROLANH" ... not "SOR LANH"

Or u can say "BON SROLANH OUN" where BON refers to I and OUN refers to you. People use this more often then the first recommended one, coz this is sweeter.
