The problem is we are not in a position to retake our lost lands back militarily! Let's be realistic here. And where do we get those massive bombs from? When I say unite, I mean working together for the better of Cambodia! We are still in rebuilding mode from these 20+ years of warfare. Almost all the politicians in Cambodia right now are just fighting for their power and wallets. They do not have the interests of the Khmer people at the front burner. cambodia is one country we will be the one remain in the middle cuz we are the king of the southeast asian The Don, There isn't two country join force like thaibodian or cambothai.

Cambodia will simply be eaten up without having the chance to gulp for the last breath of air. And do you think Vietnam would allow that? Hmmm wonder why Vietnam didn't annex Cambodia 200 years ago?

well of course there can't be no love or peace with one race dominating the others. We just need to learn how to live with each other respectfully and peacefully in other for any unification to acheive. This goes for all the Asain Nations that is bordering one another.

This is an excellent idea I ever heard. We can unite into one country. Bangkok should be a capitol of our country. Thai language should be formal language. Khamen can use your old language in your house or in family, and Khamen can preserve your own culture as Surin people.
Khamen can move to settle everywhere like Chaingmai, Phuket or Bangkok. Khamen can become our Prime Minster if you win a majority in parliment. Khamen can become a Supreme Commander -in-Chief of Royal Thai Armed force if you are join the millitary. You can become everything in Thailand (Except the King, he must a descendant from Chakkri Dynastry). We can unite with Lao too. We can change name of our country to Federation of Siam. May be "United Kingdom of Siam" is better. |

With Khmer at its current size and population, I don't see how the two countries can be 'united'. More like a "take over" by the Thais! It's like when a big company is acquiring another company of a smaller size and they call it a 'merge', when in actuality it's an acquisition or "take over". So, you're proposing a take over by Thailand...that's what it sounds like to me...
