I cannot believe how Asian, always try to manipulate and change there name around and give them a new english name. Asian yes, but Korean is the worst. In really life about 95% of the korean people i know has change there Korean name adopt an english name. excepting Lucy Liu, the English names used by Hong Kong actors are not their legal names, but stage names. As for Cuong's statements, I don't neccessarily believe that its true, but there is a temptation for people born or youngly emigrated to the U.S. to adopt English names, this is particularly noticeable for girls. I don't think this is neccessarily any "trueer" for Korean girls... but ABK's are notorious for marrying white men.

There is nothing wrong with Asians adopting Western names. I have a couple white friends who is now living in China and they adopted real Chinese names, not just those translated phonetically. They felt that they could fit in and associate with people there easier.

When I was younger I had a English name as well. It wasn't because I was ashamed of my Chinese name (actually I am quite fond of it ) but it was just an attempt to fit in.

I have nothing agaisnt korean as i have many korean friends. And of course i luv alot of Korean singer. But many ppls just like to to make stupid comment and not prove jack!
