Did you do something prior to it not working? It might be a software/codec issue

if you could play DVDs before but not anymore then,i think you know where the problem is,
BTW What is your Default Dvd player? >> if it's windows mediaplayer then,wmplayer 11 supports Dvd (don't know of previous versions) upgrade to Version 11 PowerDvd 7.0 is best Dvd player available, it's not free though. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - boa = bank of amrica lol |

QUOTE(yagizzhie @ Oct 7 2006, 03:09 AM) but if it is DvD...it's not working. even before. ): okay i got, it! you must be using windows media player 9 or may be 10, both won't play DVd by default By default, Media Player 9 does not include any DVD decoding capabilities. To play a DVD in Media Player 9, you must install a third-party decoder (also called Mpeg-2 Decoder) If the third-party DVD decoder cannot play DVDs, Media Player 9 also cannot play DVDs. To verify if a third-party DVD decoder is installed in your computer, click Start, click Run, type "dvdupgrd /detect" (without quotes) and then click OK. A dialog box appears listing the detected DVD decoders but methinks It won't detect any DVD Decoder. since you're having problem with playind DVD files, i'm 90%+ sure you haven't got DVD Decoder, so either Download Windows Media player 11 or download Third party DVD Decoder. Just google them and download or Download From rite here >>> For windows mediaplayer 10 - http://download.microsoft.com/download/9/b...CCHECKSetup.EXE [probably... 90%+ doesn't have any spywares but better to scan it once, after download completes, can't take any risks....] >>> For Media Player 9.0 - http://download.microsoft.com/download/a/0...4/WM9Codecs.exe [ 100% spyware,Adware,Virus FREE ] That's it!! Get Media Player Classic. It should come with full dvd support and it's free. Some programs will let you play dvds but not allow you to go to the menu, MPC should allow you to do it all.
