Nah, I'm 100% Filipino, but also get mistaken for being mixed with Viet 'coz I speak the language.

How did that happen?

Most of my friends are Vietnamese and Cham people from Vietnam and quicly caught on with the language.

it's your own idea, but then again who cares, do people think of burma when they say asia, half of the folks in the world don't know crap about geography and social science in general. and there's no rate graph on how to "rate" how appealing and how good the culture is, unless you are racist. see for yourself how really philippines is and how the rest of the us think about it when you travel. yooull be surprised when you get out of your little isolated roost.

We can thank Hawaiian wannabes for that. I think people are ignorant to the fact that not all asians look like east asians.

dude no offense but don't make on those people only. theres this story okay.

a ilocano guy living in hawaii for along time went to the mainland for the longest time. he went and saw this dude in the mall and knew he was filipino right, and he talked to him in tagalog, cuz you know it's more common, and he said in a really thick fobby way, sorry i forgot already how to speak. and he said in tag how long you been in here and he was like, a year! wtf. and also my igorot firend who speak ilocano went to las vegas and the filipinos down there he said never spoke in ilocano to him though they were what we call in HI fbis, or full blooded ilocanos.

now do i blame mainland flips only. well i had a stereotypical view of other filipinos until i figured out that i was wrong. and so fil don't get mad but don't think all HI filipinos are bad, just the way i don't think that not even most, mainland filipinos are bad.

no man i'm saying that some of them are like that, just like some filipinos in hawaii are like so. you know what i mean. i'm showing you that don't think that all filipinos in hawaii are so, just cuz of some instances and cases you experience through reading etc were like that, just like i shouldn' and don't thnk mainland filipinos are so. it's like stereotyping and generalizing you know. it's like a white person saying oh chinese people all eat dog, or filipinos are all catholics you know.
