I wonder if someone heard this supertition about rosary or beads.?
Can someone ask their old lola if it is true. One Filipino supertitions is that.
Do not place any rosary or any butil or beads on the casket or ataul of your dead love one or else, all family members will die one by one Also can someone ask their lola how to stop the bad luck of this supertition

Unfortunately, that's true...

Everyone dies, sooner or later.

On to the superstition. No it isn't true, first of all. What you said up there is an example of animism, of turning a foreign belief into local beliefs/superstitions. Faith healing is another.

The only way for a superstition not to work is if you don't believe it. If something happens that you thought would happen, then you would automatically attribute it to that specific superstition.

If you don't believe it, you can call it coincidence.

Fortunately, the world conducts it's everyday affairs using coincidence, not superstition. People work hard for a coincidence to happen, not wait for it to happen.

I do not want to believe this but it is happening in our family. I told my nephews and niece not to place any rosary or any kind of beads to their mother casket but they did not believe me and now his son just past away after two months with no apparent reason. Kasabihan ng mga matatanda ng ako eh maliit pa not to place any thing on the casket together with dead person especially rosary that has beads or lahat ng pamilya eh mauubos at iisa-isahin sila. it is now happening. I do believe in all supertitions as I grew up with all the story of all old folks in the Philippines. I even saw a ghost when I was little and I saw one aswang too. Now children do not want to hear all this story and just ignore all filipino beliefs.

Because the Filipino version of Catholism is localized. All that superstitious belief hinders progress, that's why Philippines is such a mess.

Can you explain the validity of the effect of having put anything in a casket? It does not make sense. The quickest way for an ignorant to answer a valid question is to result in mysticism. Worse, parents still manage to preach superstition to kids. Ignorant ones, I gather.

Do you see the reasoning why a holy object placed on a coffin would suddenly kill off a whole family? Get real. First, do you really think the Catholic faith is the ruler of everything that you see? Second, of all things sacred in the Catholic faith, why would the image of Jesus suddenly turn anything into bad luck, if you are even the religous type? Do you see the point of it all?

I'm not even religious, but I would assume that turning a symbol of good into a bad omen would reflect the opposite of that belief. Basically, your faith is so weak that you result to beliefs contrary to the teachings of Jesus. In other words, you might be a Satanist, if you prefer superstitios over faith.

There are no ghost. They are pigment of your imagination.

Open a newspaper, or watch the evening news. Do you see reports of people getting killed by ghost and superstitions?

"Today, two aswangs murdered a pregnant woman in her sleep. In other news, a multo planted a bomb in a bus carrying twenty passengers, killing all. A fourteen year old girl was raped and the body burned by a duwende."

Right. Let's try that in the real world:

"Today, two men murdered a pregnant woman in her sleep. In other news, a terrorist planted a bomb in a bus carrying twenty passengers, killing all. A fourteen year old girl was raped and the body burned by a local man."

Humans are the scariest things on this world. The guy you sat to next in the bus probably planned to murder your whole family. Your neighbor plans to rape you. A baby somewhere in the world is murdered by her mother at this very moment. A father just got done raping her three year old daughter. Somebody just killed a whole family for a few dollars.

And that's just the start of it. So tell me, why would a superstition deter me from living my life?

What scares me the most is YOU. Ignorance is bliss, if kept unto yourself. It could be murderous if preached.

(from wikipedia)
Animism:

Animism is the belief in personalized, supernatural beings (or souls) that often inhabit ordinary animals and objects, governing their existence.[1]
