if your rich, pero if your an average flip youd have to work so much to afford a simple trip across one island. sana rich ako sa pinas, magiging afternoon walk in the park ko yung boracay no.

That's also one of the perks in research... i get to go places. like, i've been to Southern Leyte, to Marinduque, to Camiguin... pero hindi leisure! work! kaya lang kung madiskarte ka, kaya na pati fun!
from Bicol nga daw, i'd need like 5K para makarating sa Boracay! huhuhuhu, e di one month na pulubi ako nyan pakatapos!

you don't have to be rich to island hop the visayas islands. let's see..
kung sa Samar tayo magsta-start, you can cross Leyte through the San Juanico bridge. tapos sasakay ka ng ferry papuntang Ubay, Bohol then you can take a slow boat(takes 4 hrs) like Cokaliong or Lite Shipping which costs P250 aircon to Cebu City or by fastcraft(1.5 hrs) from Tagbilaran City, Bohol. from Cebu City you can go to Toledo City on the western side of the island and take another boat(still owned by Lite Shipping but different name) to San Carlos City in Negros Oriental.. then bus ride to Dumaguete City or go northwest straight to Bacolod City, Negros Occidental. in Bacolod, you can ride Royal Ferries, a fastcraft, or Supercat(i dnno if they still operate there) to Iloilo City. once in Iloilo you can go to any place in Panay Island even Boracay by pumpboat from Caticlan Town in Aklan Province.
i dnt know the prices but from the Bohol-Cebu route, your fare could go low as P60 or P90 if you prefer airconditioned.
here's a link to the visayas map:

i agree. i always travel even though i'm not rich. what happens is that i save save save and then at summer time i'm broke because of all the traveling that i do.

the most expensive part of traveling is the airfare. so ride boats, not planes.
