I may not include FF 13.

And i group 1-6 into a whole one.

Lets do it.

You can have upto 10 choices in a poll, so why don't you add FF Tactics (regarded as one of the best FF games), seperate FFX from FFX-2, and seperate FFVI (also regarded as one of the best FF games) from FF1-5. FFXI also doesn't have a proper scripted storyline like the other FF games, so you could replace that with FFIV or FFV.

Well, FFX was the best, but FFX-2 was the badest... Anyways, I agree with Jagger.

FF10 & FF10-2.

Fanboys are scary. I really like most of the FF endings, but as to plot wise, I really followed X and it was great. 9 was really visually astounding to me at the time, and it still amazes me every time I think about it. I really like the ending to it, and the score was excellent, same with X. 8 was good, but that was my first RPG I was a noob and I couldn't recall much. If I had played 7 before X things might have been different.

I voted for FFVII. Although it lacked the detailed graphics and character relationships from later FF games or the wartime themes and fantasy settings from earlier FF games, what FFVII did have is the deepest and most convoluted storyline in the series, with a psychological thriller style plot and numerous surprising plot twists, aswell as one of the most iconic scenes in the series (the death of you know who).
Joventino
I'm no fanboy but X ranks amongst the lowest story-wise

I like Tactics the best but if you discount that, VII takes it
Nikkie_nid
OMG... sorry i forgot about FF tactics and as JAgger mentioned, i shouldnt have FFXI in account.

But, its too late now... T_T

For me, FFX is the best ones. You experience Spira in a despair era when a young female summoner stands up to changes its fate. And One best thing is also the story of Tidus. The story made him not "real"... thats made the story even specail.

FFVII for the older newer generation.
FFX for the newer newer generation.

FFX is the first and only game that made me cry.

Probably because it had two times as much technology in it over the past FF's
SallyAdams
I liked 8 and 10 the best

That, and because I have a huge crush on Lulu and Auron and did not want to see them go.
