gorae shouldnt make movies about desis coz they get it all wrong. for instance, if she's playin a muslim girl then why does she have a bindi? plus that bindi is too high up her forehead. it looks more indonesian than indian style.

because when you are mixed, well, you usually look like you can pass for anyone.
Most people look mixed except for whites, africans, and east asians. Everyone else looks like a mutt who could be italian, indian, paki, cuban, etc etc and everything in between.

The movie is made by a Canadian producer who probably picked her since she is one of Canada's most famous actresses that are not white.
The indian muslim girl I was talking about. She's five ten too and could be a big star in India if she wanted to.
Another difference is that her eyes are blue but I still think they look very alike.

At least Gandhi was played by a half-Indian man (Ben Kingsley) who had a striking resemblance to the real Gandhi.

According to Wikipedia, Keanu is a Portuguese-Chinese-Hawaiian mix. How exactly does that make him Malay? But I'm sure Kristin has some Malay descent since she has Chinese Indonesian ancestry.

Wikipedia says he's Portuguese-Chinese-Hawaiian, although I can't verify it. Native Hawaiians (Polynesians) are distantly related to Malays via the Austronesian language family, but calling them "Malay" would be like calling Native Americans "Asian".
