Ek-ek
Yup! It only shows that a lot of Filipinos know the "Bayang Magiliw " as our National anthem and not "Lupang Hinirang" Minsan nakakahiyang isipin na hindi alam ng marami ang pamagat ng ating pambansang awit

well, that's actually a big problem...

you see, most people in the Philippines think that the first line of our national anthem will represent the title of the anthem.

the only thing that we can do about this problem is to correct them: by telling them the true title of our national anthem and teaching our national anthem (including the title, of course) to the young. properly.

Our flag looks great as it is. But don't you think it would look better if we change the color blue to black.

Our flag consists of 4 colors. The gold for the sun and stars. The white triangle for symbolize equality and fraternity. The red symbolize patriotism and valor. The blue symbolize peace, truth and justice.

But I think the symbolism of the color blue is pretty close to the symbolism of the white.

So changing the blue to black will create a new set of sybolism to our flag.

The color black symbolize modernity, power and sophistication.

What do you guys think?

hmmm...

i don't know about the flag color...

the blue's fine as it is already. and it fits the flag perfectly. anyway, why would we change the blue to black? (if ever we had the power to do so) what's the blue's symbol for if we change it to black?

besides...

this "change the color of the flag from its blue part to black" topic doesn't seem to fit this thread at all (besides the point that it's still about the flag... the topic was originally about the national anthem anyway)

^ If watched the video, I think this thread is about the information or the lack thereof people back home have with regards to our national anthem, our flag, and some other stuff.

I just threw that thought I had on here, about "changing the blue to black" since it may appear rather quirky to some, so I decided to take advantage of the quirkiness of this thread.
