Laos is a supgroup of Tai tribe. Nowadays Thai have mix with many race like krom,mon-khmer,malay,...
Laos is much more pure and Right! Tai tribe came from south-western of China for only 1-2 thousands ago.

Not single race could claim the ownership of Thai or Siamese. The fact is Siamese people are the combination of Mon-Khmer,Tai,Lan-na,Lao,Malay and Chinese races. We are the Hybrid. The combination of human races.

......Any races could be Thai or Siamese as long as their souls are.......

They merged , blended, and developed their arts and cultures for centuries.'till it's become unique in identity.

Central Thai lanquage is a very good example for this mixture. "Tong-Kum" which mean "gold" is composing of two words of
the same meaning. "tong" is Mon's for gold. And "Kum" is Lao's for gold, too. Or the word dung-jamoog is composing of "dung" from lao and "jamoog" from Khmer. Both mean "nose" ect. and ect.

We're all considering ourselves as Thai meaning "freedom". And we're all have the same Father......our beloving King.......

Since we never been colonized by any western countries during the western colonizing era.We proud to call our country

"Thailand" meaning "The land of Freedom."
