Please describe ways to look older if you are a girl.
I do not like being mistaken for a child.

Eyes. Baggy squinty eyes look older.
Hair of course, shows maturity.
Clothing style also.
Facial hair or no facial hair and how it's done.

isn't it good that you look really young? that means when you're 30, you'll look just right.
no but seriously, people eventually get old and will look old. you might as well enjoy looking young while you can. age is just a number. who cares if you look 10 years younger than people the same age as you.

It's in the eyes and the expression on your face. People who get mistaken for being younger than their chronological age always have a naive, "puppy dog" expression.

How you walk and how you carry yourself, your hair style, and your make-up.

Also, your weight. The heavier you are, the older you'll look. If the weight is in your bust and hips you'll look 25-ish but anywhere else and you'll look 40-ish.

Your face makes you look young as well. If you have a lot of "baby fat" (hence the term) you'll look young...until it starts to sag, and then you look really old.
It's mainly in how you carry yourself though, like how you act and respond to things, and how you speak.

So do I but I don't get mistaken for being young anymore.

I used to hate that but now that it doesn't happen anymore I'm starting to panic. Enjoy being carded while you can.

well i think with girls, a round face works better. a lot of pretty asian girls i noticed have similiar facial shape to mine but it works on them.

i think hair has a lot to do with it.

i'm boobless
no baby fat. er. well i lost it. i think my skin thinned around my eyes so damn the dark circles came out.
they should invent like skin thickener. lol that would be nice
i think a lot of the fixable things are good tips.
1. i'm gonna try dressing older
2. and try cutting my hair to be more adult looking
3. and have more adult mannerisms

I look like I'm in my mid to late teens but I was surprised when a lot of people thought I was in my late twenties.
It wasn't my appearance that they based their belief on. It was in the way I carried myself.
Your demeanor plays a big role.

second that. the way you act and how you carry yourself (as other posters mentioned) really says a lot about you regardless of your physical appearance.
looking too young can work against you sometimes too tho...I know in certain jobs it's harder to get the respect and promotions if you look like you're fresh outta school (aka too green). I've encountered that before and I usually balance it out by acting older than the 50-year olds around the job-and dressing better in some cases
You should just concentrate on leading a healthy life-style (working out, eating right, getting enough sleep). Those factors take more time to effect how you look, but they're perm. changes as opposed to quick fixes.

Well looking young could mean one of two things:
You're either goodlooking with a baby face or you just look like an ugly kid with an excess amount of face fat. Take your pick.

Seriously? Probably! lol
Smoking, drinking too much coffee and alcohol, and not getting enough sleep will also age you faster.
Sounds to me like looking young is the better thing! Enjoy it cloudy! Once your youthful looks are gone you have the rest of your life left to enjoy looking old, jaded, and worn.

climate and sun exposure
I noticed people from areas that are very hot and dry, like southern Ca or states like Arizona, or other hot dry areas, have aged over sunned skin, and they look older and more weathered.
stay out of the sun if you want to keep a nice young complexion

I still look like a teenager even though i'm old enough to buy alcohol. And i wear make up and dyed my hair. It only made me look like an older teenager. haha
