And if you read into WWII, what the US did was completely necessary at the time. Truman had no choice, he needed a quick and easy way to force the Japanese to surrender before the Soviets intervened. You have to admit, both politically and ethically, the American government is much better than the Soviets. Would you enjoy something like West and East Germany in Japan? Dropping the bombs killed millions, instantly and till present day, but saved many lives and Japan structurally as a whole. Russia to this day has killed tens of millions of innocent lives due to their political suppression, they wouldn't have hesitated with Japan.
