What does it take for a man who was born into a very poor family to have come this far; to become Malaysia’s “Mattress King” and may be crowned Malaysia’s “Digital City King” if his I-City dream becomes a reality?

Many believe that Lim, like many rags to riches people, share a common trait – they have what is called an “AQ” or adversity quotient.

AQ (Adversity Quotient) is as important as IQ (intelligence quotient) and EQ (emotional quotient).

I've read his story.

His mattress business was very successful.

If anyone know of "Dreamland" mattresses, then you know it's from him. icon_smile.gif

But his electronics business was not that good. I think it has been making losses. Previously they were all locally made. But he has outsource them out to China.

You remember those "i" products? Yes, it was from him.

But I really do admire him for he is humble man with great visions. Further, he takes the vision a step further by implementing them. icon_smile.gif

malaysia to succes in electronic stuff is hard...
last time i wanna buy a tv got this 2 brand pensonic and jvc or lg forgot already, the spec are the same and the price also the same, then i wanna buy pensonic just wanna support malaysian made hehehe.. then the salesman ask me why take pensonic, he said take the japan one la, same price and its a japan brand not local brand, i refuse to take it, but he keep telling me to take the japan made, lastly i end up not buying both hahahahaha

Should be JVC. LG is a Korea brand.

I am not too confident with Pensonic because like you, I wanted to support Malaysian made products. But then, the products that I bought spoil pretty quickly. But that was many years ago. Not too sure about now.

But I think all products are now made in China. All my electronics can't last as long as it previously could.

I do not mean that China manufactures bad products, it's just that now company go for mass production. So I guess the quality has deteriorated.
