the government can't even manage our economy which is also important and can benefit all, what more our precious artifacts which people do not even care to admire and be proud of?! come to think of it, provincial libraries and museums are not even visited often enough by the local people... sad. but i went to the Negros Library and Museo Iloilo. cool artifacts from the pre-historic era but most were during the Spanish regime. have you seen a 30kg electric fan the size of 18-inch monitor? it's made of galvanized iron....

:genius: I think it would be better left in the US than returned it to the Philippines!
Aside from the humid climate ( which is quite bad for these artifacts) , The Philippine government does not have the adequate facilites for these artifacts plus the facts that theft is common in the country plus some employees were the main sources of these artifacts straight from our museums and libraries!
Remember those old books and countless of revolutionary papers being sold by the National archives and National Libary that was exposed by MGB and Imbestigador?
and the Santo Nino Bambino that was lost in tha National Museum last year ? and the head of the Marian image in San Agustin Church in Intramuros?
