Tagalog, It was where "Filipino" language was adopted .

if i answer the topic question, it would be the Cebuano dialect. popular since it is spoken without even being "forced" into a curriculum. for Tagalog, it is also important since it was used as a basis for the Filipino language mainly because the Spanish government and the Philippine government that overthrew it was based in Manila which speaks the dialect. Tagalog also during the 1st Philippine Republic had more written literature compared to other dialects so it was easier to spread.
Ek-ek
Yes, Tagalog had one of the first language in the Philippines to have written literature like " Doctrina Cristiana Y Lengua Tagala " publish in 1593

How about Bikol or Chavacano ?
Forumwalker
chavacano is nice but i don't like the thought that it's sort of a broken spanish dialect.. they mix words from other dialects eh..
Ek-ek
It is like the language spoken in Aruba were they have Spanish, and other dialects spoken .
