She is one of the dumbest people I have ever seen on Japanese tv, though. She rarely goes on talk shows because she is so dumb she cannot even speak. She can only read and memorize scripts.

Well, this is my own personal feelings towards her. Being a television and movie star in Japan, there's really no need for a real education or any real intelligence. She is probably able to memorize lines because her brain is so empty she can easily fill it up with scripts!

When i do see her on television shows (variety shows), when she is asked questions, she talks very stupidly. You know how you can tell when someone's not really that smart? I get that sort of feeling from her. When she writes, she doesn't know many characters and she uses a lot of hiragana.

well, there are only three types of people who survive in this industry - 1) the good-looking type, 2) the talented type, 3) the good-looking and talented type. obviously she belongs to the 1st type cos i don't think she can act for nuts. even then, she's able to survive becos of her looks. and accept it, that's the entertainment industry for you!
